Tra l’1 e il 2 novembre ci lasciavano due grandi uomini, Pound a Venezia nel ‘72, Pasolini in quella terribile esecuzione dell’anno ‘75 ad Ostia; ma il destino li ha voluti uniti anche nella strumentalizzazione (se non mistificazione) sistematica del loro pensiero.
I due Poeti, pur partendo da epoche ed esperienze di vita differenti, nell’arco del loro studio e lavoro intellettuale sono arrivati alle medesime conclusioni per quanto riguarda le sorti e i pericoli che incombono sulla civiltà umana.
È innegabile che il concetto di Usura in Pound e quello di Società dei consumi in Pasolini siano nomi diversi per chiamare il medesimo Potere.
Per quanto ci riguarda, riteniamo che ad oggi non vi sia stata alcuna ideologia politica o sociale che possa anche solo per “abbaglio” contenere la vastità e le innumerevole sfaccettature del pensiero di Pound e Pasolini. Non è sufficiente estrapolare qua e là qualche frase che può far comodo alla miseria dei vari schieramenti ideologici e a solleticarne la pancia…
Le opere e le vite di entrambi vanno intese nella loro totalità: senza mai dimenticare che esse furono all’insegna dell’anticonformismo (sia in materia culturale che nelle note vicende private e sentimentali), del Dubbio, del pensiero non dogmatico. Insomma: essi rimasero sempre Eretici rispetto ad ogni tipo di Potere.
Nella loro analisi risulta evidente che il più grande pericolo per la società umana sia stato e rimanga il conformismo: da lì il Potere trae la sua linfa… vitale per lui, ma mortale per gli Uomini liberi.
Per questo fanno sorridere, da una parte, quei gruppi di persone profondamente e dichiaratamente conformiste che marciano in ridicole uniformi da stadio e che, pur non avendo in alcun modo approfondito la reazione spirituale-culturale proposta da Pound, riassunta nel nome di Eleusi, lo stesso si sforzano di tirarlo per i capelli in dispute tra borgatari giustamente analfabeti, esaltando obbedienza cieca o piccoli dittatoruncoli degli Urali con relativi alleati mediorientali…
Dall’altra parte, quelli che invece fanno vanto di una società informe e globalizzata senza alcuna radice comune, se non la griffe di tendenza o il fast food, quelli che denigrano tutto ciò che sembra Tradizione, Identità, Differenziazione intesa come consapevolezza della propria identità storica e culturale, concetti questi fondamentali per Pasolini… quelli che oggi, coscientemente o meno, si delineano sempre più chiaramente come i nuovi conservatori a venire nonché fanatici custodi del sistema mercantile che attualmente ci governa. Tutto ciò fa sorridere… per non piangere, ovviamente!
I due schieramenti si sputano addosso colpe e accuse, sia gli uni che gli altri presentandosi in quanto panacea per tutti i mali, ergendosi a paladini del bene e a detentori della vera cultura, della vera Verità rivelata…
Tra complottismi e contro-complottismi i due schieramenti combattono una guerra di posizione dai loro granitici recinti (straripanti oramai di liquami, tanto sono sigillati…) e offrono certamente un degno spettacolo al Potere attuale che, per meglio governare, si limita a praticare scrupolosamente il sempreverde divide et impera.
Entrambi gli schieramenti, nel cercare nomi e colpevoli, perdono di vista tutti quegli “atteggiamenti” che fanno da prodromo ad ogni sorta di dittatura: non rendendosi conto che sono essi stessi parte sostanziale del problema: in quanto conformisti nell’atteggiamento.
Il Potere si manifesta sempre in forme molteplici, persino contrastanti quando serve, ma mantiene le medesime necessità ed “abitudini”, ossia:
nelle mani di pochi, il destino dei più.
Allora leggeteli veramente e fino in fondo, Pound e Pasolini, soffermatevi persino a guardare le loro immagini: e dopo confrontatele con facce e biografie di chi si riempie la bocca con il loro solo nome.
E lasciateli liberi soprattutto… perché, almeno Loro, lo sono stati davvero.
POUND AND PASOLINI, HERETICS AND FREE

Between 1 and 2 November two great men left us, Pound in Venice in '72, Pasolini in that terrible execution of year '75 in Ostia. But fate wanted them to be united also in the systematic exploitation (if not mystification) of their thinking.
The two Poets, although starting from different periods and life experiences, during their study and intellectual work reached the same conclusions regarding the fate and dangers that loom over human civilization.
It is undeniable that the concept of Usura in Pound and that of Consumer Society in Pasolini are different names to call the same Power.
As far as we are concerned, we believe that until today there has not been any political or social ideology that could, even just by "blunder", contain the vastness and the innumerable facets of Pound and Pasolini's thought. It is not enough to extrapolate here and there a few sentences that can be useful for the misery of the various ideological groups and to tickle their bellies …
The works and lives of both must be understood in their totality: without ever forgetting that they were in the name of non-conformism (both in cultural matters and in well-known private and sentimental events), of Doubt, of non-dogmatic thought. In short: they always remained Heretics to any kind of Power.
In their analysis it is evident that the greatest danger for human society has been and remains conformism: from there the Power draws its lymph… vital for him, but deadly for free Men.
For this reason make you smile, on the one hand, those profoundly and openly conformist groups of people who march in ridiculous stadium uniforms and who, despite not having in any way deepened the spiritual-cultural reaction proposed by Pound, summed up in the name of Eleusis, they try to pull him by the hair in disputes between rightly illiterate borgatari[1] exalting blind obedience or two-bit little dictator of Urals with their Middle Eastern allies …

On the other hand, those who instead boast of a shapeless and globalized society without any common root, if not the trendy brand or fast food, those who denigrate everything that seems Tradition, Identity, Differentiation intended as awareness of one's own historical and cultural identity, these fundamental for Pasolini…those who today, consciously or not, are emerging more and more clearly as the new conservatives to come and fanatical guardians of the mercantile system that currently governs us. All this makes you smile ... not to cry, of course!
The two factions are spitting blame and accusations on each other, both presenting themselves as a panacea for all evils, standing up as champions of good and holders of true culture, of the true revealed Truth …
Between conspiracies and counter-conspiracies the two sides fight a war of position from their granite enclosures (now overflowing with sewage, they are so much sealed ...) and certainly offer a worthy show to the current Power which, in order to better govern, limits itself to scrupulously practicing evergreen divide et impera.
Both sides, seeking for names and guilty parties, lose sight of all those "attitudes" that are a prodrome to any sort of dictatorship: not realizing that they are themselves a substantial part of the problem: as conformists in attitude.
Power always manifests itself in multiple forms, even contrasting when needed, but it maintains the same needs and "habits", that is:
in the hands of a few, the destiny of most.
Then read them really and thoroughly, Pound and Pasolini, stop even to look at their images: and then compare them with the faces and biographies of those who fill their mouths with their name alone.
And leave them free above all ... because, at least they really were.
